Meet Charlie

A black-and-white, grainy close-up portrait of a young person resting their chin on their hand, wearing a textured knit sweater.

I trained as a school teacher in Hong Kong and later studied in the UK, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. Along the way, I completed a First Class BA (Hons), a PGDipEd that qualified me as a teacher, and later graduated with Distinction from my MA.

I now work in higher and further education, developing academic programmes and digital learning systems. This work also connects closely with my funded PhD in education in the UK, where I am exploring how students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) adjust to and navigate university.

Why I started AccessWays

Studying and working across different education systems has shown me that university can sometimes be difficult to understand.

You may know your subject well but still find it hard to understand how your course works, what is expected, or where to get support.

I started AccessWays to make this easier.

I can help you:

  • Understand your course structure and expectations
  • Plan your study schedule in a way that works for you
  • Break down complex assignments into manageable steps
  • Find and access the right university support
